FIDIC Task Group 17 (Collaborative Contracting) is calling for your participation (deadline 31 March 2022)
You may know that FIDIC intends to include in its offering a new collaborative contract to the FIDIC suite by 2023. A contract form that several member organisations have requested for, and that intends to provide a viable cross-jurisdictional option to implement collaborative contracting.
Background
Task Group 17 (TG 17) of the FIDIC contracts committee is responsible for developing FIDIC collaborative contract. A key step in the development process is to listen to the market and shape the solution to market needs.
In this regard, FIDIC recognises that many of our members have deep knowledge and experience of collaboration and the hurdles to its success. Your participation in a detailed survey is called for to collect this rich data.
Survey
FIDIC invites you to answer the questions in the survey below and where possible, please elaborate on your experiences and the needs, expectations and blockers where there is a free text option. Please submit your entry using the online survey through the following link: https://fidic.org/node/34921 by 31 March 2022.
Your response and the fact that you have contributed to this survey will be treated confidentially and in accordance with FIDIC’s Privacy Policy.
You can be assured that Task Group 17 will be enormously grateful for your contribution to developing this exciting addition to the FIDIC suite.
Dear FIDIC member organisation,
FIDIC TG 17 Collaborative Contracting – A request for your collaboration!
You may know that FIDIC intends to include in its offering a new collaborative contract to the FIDIC suite by 2023. A contract form that several member organisations have requested forand that intends to provide a viable cross-jurisdictional option to implement collaborative contracting.
Task Group 17 (TG 17) of the FIDIC contracts committee is responsible for developing this new collaborative contract. An essential step in the development process is to listen to the market and shape the solution to market needs.
In this regard, the FIDIC Member Associations, representing 40,000 firms in over 100 countries, provide for an unrivalled level of expertise and diversity to help guide the set-up of the model which TG 17 is now preparing.
We have designed a survey (closing date 31 March 2022) to collect this vital feedback and we ask for your valued support to encourage your members to participate.
Therefore, in the way you know best, we would be very grateful if you would communicate with your members to generate interest, so the participation level is as high as possible. If your member organisation would consider organising an (online) event to discuss the topics of the survey, we are happy to discuss if & how we could contribute to such an event.
To assist you in reaching out to your members, we have drafted an accompanying cover message (below) introducing the survey you may wish to adopt.
We thank you for your support in this matter.
Kind regards,
Nelson Ogunshakin
