FIDIC CEO’s Update – Issue 24: February 2022

Issue 24: February 2022

Dear colleagues

Welcome to issue number 24 of the FIDIC CEO’s Update, my regular round-up of the latest FIDIC activities, initiatives and events.

Introduction

The past month has seen the FIDIC management team involved in quite a bit of planning activity for the year ahead as well as unveiling the names of the members of the advisory board for the Global Leadership Forum (see below). As everyone knows who works in our industry, planning is essential for project and business success and at FIDIC we want to ensure that we have everything in place so that we can deliver on behalf of our members and stakeholders over the coming year. That planning activity includes lining up knowledgeable speakers for our popular live webinar programme, as well as putting all the building blocks in place so that we can hold a successful FIDIC Global Infrastructure Conference in September
in Geneva – all being well, as an in-person event for the first time for two years. The newly formed FIDIC Global Leadership Forum and its new advisory board will play an important role at that conference as well as in shaping FIDIC’s advocacy work going forward. In bringing together key influencers and decision-makers from the engineering, construction and infrastructure sectors to help address the critical issues we face as a society and an industry, the forum will be well placed to develop workable solutions to solve them. We will be sharing more of our plans for the forum over the coming months, so watch this space.

The forum forms a key aspect of FIDIC’s commitments as part of its 2020-2024 Strategic Plan and the members of the new advisory board have been carefully selected and are all influential leaders in their fields…Continue Reading
