Food Aid to the Affected Residents of Kampung Kurnia Jaya, Tawau, Sabah
Background:
An enormous fire that took place on 17th March 2022 has engulfed 700 squatter houses at Kg Kurnia Jaya, Mile 4, Jalan Apas located at the East of Tawau town in Sabah. No fatalities or injuries were reported but the incident has caused more than 1,300 residents to lose their homes. This is one of the worst fires that happened in Tawau as the affected area is similar to the size of four to six football fields.
The affected residents were sent to temporary fire relief centres at Dewan Kg Kinabutan Kecil, Dewan Kg Kurnia Jaya, Dewan Sri Balung and Dewan Serbaguna Banggu. The homeless residents are in need of monetary support as well as food aid to sustain their living.

Objective:
The main objective of this CSR is to reach out to the fire victims of 700 wooden houses at Kampung Kurnia Jaya, Batu 4, Jalan Apas Tawau, Sabah by providing them food relief to ease their burden in this difficult time.
Proposal:
This CSR aims to provide a food basket for each household of the fire victims from Kg. Kurnia Jaya, Tawau, Sabah. An estimated of 700 food baskets will be prepared and donate to the fire victims. Each food basket shall consist of daily essential foods listed below but not limited to, worth up to fifty Ringgit Malaysia (RM 50).
Outcome:
The affected residents will be benefited from the food aids provided. The food basket may serve as a comfort and relief to the fire victims who have lost all their belonging to the fire. This food may help In sustain their living for this period of time especially when the fasting month is soon to come.
